Thoughts and messages for James and his family

We have created this space for WorldTeach Marshall Islands volunteers and alumni to share their support with the family and friends of James de Brueys, who is believed to have passed away on November 26 while traveling from Arno Atoll to Majuro.

Our hearts go out to James' family in the midst of this tragedy which has touched us all very deeply.


Donations from those interested are appreciated in James' honor. Donations in the form of checks can be made out to WorldTeach with "The James de Brueys Fund" on the subject line. Donations can also be made through the WorldTeach website by selecting the "Donate Now" button at the top right corner of the website. Funds contributed will be used by WorldTeach for James' students in the Marshall Islands via projects James initiated and hoped to complete in his time there.
